The AQP research team includes faculty, post-doctoral research fellows, research engineers and scientists, students, and staff from the UC Davis Civil and Environmental Engineering Department; faculty and other campus researchers from the Statistics Department, the Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering Department, the Crocker Nuclear Laboratory Air Quality Group, the Center for Environmental and Water Resources Engineering, and other campus research groups.

Mission

Our mission is to develop and implement transportation-related air quality analysis tools and procedures that help regional, state, and federal agencies achieve improved air quality.

Brief History

The AQP research team has assisted California and federal transportation and air quality planning agencies since 1997. Example major work efforts include development of new transportation project-level analysis protocols for carbon monoxide and particulate matter, development of new methodologies to build speed correction factors for mobile source emissions modeling, evaluation of cross-media pollution problems related to transportation projects, development of improved emissions modeling approaches, delivery of transportation-related air quality training classes, facilitation of regional transportation plan conformity determinations, and development of guidance materials to interpret and comply with transportation control measure policies. Our web site offers examples of the many AQP work products created over the past several years. We welcome feedback and inquiries.
